Tiger vs. Great White Shark!!!
Some really loyal readers who were reading even before DY went on the air may remember the epic electoral contest TIGER VERSUS GREAT WHITE SHARK!! which was fought online to a tie vote. Today in class when one student pointed out an apparent shark fin (likely a rock, in reality) in a 18th C painting of Captain Cook getting whacked by Hawaiians, I got really excited and it was because I remembered TIGER VERSUS GREAT WHITE SHARK!!!
WHO WILL WIN???!! VOTE!!!!

I vote: Tiger wins!
Sorry, but I think that Great White Shark wins...I mean they're a lot bigger and have jaws of steel! and a tiger would just be mincemeat in the water (as tigers can't swim)...of course sharks don't have legs, but i think that they could probably hop up on land for enough time to bite the head off of a tiger
What about the super-oxygenated water???
SHARK
more teeth, more terror
Sharks are killing machines designed for one purpose. However, the Tiger is far more intelligent. I think, in general, the great white wins. However, if the Tiger could get into a tree...
HAI FISCH!!! all the way...
instead of spending my precious archival research time looking up important information, i would like to add another thought to this equally important blog discussion: there was never any blockbuster movie made about tigers causing panic and terror as killing machines. If we employ CBAM's philosophy that the creation of visual media about topics directly reflects the value that society places on these topics (and of course society would place more value on these things because they were more important, or at least more likely to be killing machines), then I believe that we can safetly say that until they come out with a movie about tigers causing the same type of massive panic as we saw in Jaws (and that movie about intelligent sharks that always comes on cable where the main female character has to always take off her clothes before she can battle the sharks and ICE-T is in the movie ) then I think it is safe to say the following - SHARKS WIN HANDS DOWN.
No! Tiger wins!
There is totally a movie like that about tigers. What about super-oxygenated water? Great White Shark cannot win just because it can hop. Tigers can also hop.
