I think it cheapens the winter goal, if you immediately replace it with a new one. This was a transcendent happening, people. Not just another piece of our disposable culture to instantly replace once we've seen enough! With that said, you should totally smash that icicle! Because how awesome would that be?

Come spring, I think you should plant something that grows really tall. Then your summer goal can be to watch something grow the opposite way.

Oh man, I should have smashed it right off their house! I did not even think of that!
That can be my new winter goal: find another icicle and smash the heck out of it and run the fuck away! Yeah. U.S.A.
